    The Visitors Oyster Card

    The Visitors Oyster Card is the electronic alternative to the traditional Travelcard. It is a pre-stored value card to use by simply swipe it on buses, underground and other London public transports. Available in £10, £15 and £20 pre-stored value. The visitor Oyster Card does not expire therefore you can top up the value whenever you need at any London underground station.There is £5 card fee on top of the pre-stored value.

    1. How to use
      • When entering the access channel, put the card on the yellow card reader area, when the green light, you can enter the station. Please perform the same operation when you go out.

      • Take the bus and tram, you only have to swipe when you get on.
      • Please remember to swipe the card when you go in and out, because if you operates less, the system cannot tell which section of the traffic you take, and may charge you the full fare instead of the interval section. In addition, you may also be fined or prosecuted.

    2. Fares:

      Different fares apply depending on which services

      you use and when you travel.

      • On Tube, DLR, London Overground, TfL Rail and

      most National Rail services in London:

      – Peak fares apply Monday to Friday (not on

      public holidays) from 06:30 to 09:30 and 16:00

      to 19:00.

      – Off-peak fares apply at all other times, including


      Travel is cheaper at these times.

      • On bus and tram services in London:

      – You can’t use cash to pay for your bus fare.

      – The new Hopper fare allows you to make two

      bus or tram journeys for £1.50 within one hour

      of first touching in.

      • On train services from/to Gatwick Airport:

      – A single journey on Gatwick Express costs £19.80.

      – A single journey on Southern or Thameslink

      train services to/from London terminals costs

      £14.70 at peak times and £8.30 at off-peak times.

      • Night tube services run on Fridays and Saturdays

      on the Victoria, Jubilee and most of the

      central, Northern and Piccadilly lines and some

      Overground services.

    1. Adult tickets apply to adults and children up to 16 years of age. Using the Oyster Card, every adults can take up to 4 children under 11 years of age free of charge by bus, train, metro, Docklands Light Rail, London Underground Rail and some national rail trains, London Underground and some national rail trains.

    2. Children under 5 years of age accompanied by an adult, free use of the London Emirates Air Line tram; children aged 5 to 15 pay the student fare.

    3. Special changes may be made during busy season, subject to the latest arrangements from local suppliers.

    Voucher Information

    Print the voucher and show it to use. Please print out the receipt Voucher, hold the paper certificate and my valid certificate (passport) to the designated place to participate in the itinerary.

    What you need to know

    1. The Visitor Oyster Card does not expire.

    2. There is £5 card fee on top of the pre-stored value.

    3. Visitor Oyster Cards are available at any time, except for billing at peak and off-peak times.

    4. Visitors Oyster Cards are not available on the Heathrow Express, the Gatwick Express and the Stansted Express.

    5. Please check the balance at the underground station or Oyster Card ticketing office before you leave. You can reserve the card for future use, can also return the balance to the bank card in the metro station or designated visitor center.

    6. You can use Oyster card travel to Gatwick by train.

    7. Physical ticket will be sent to you by post or courier.
