    Her Majesty’s Theatre

Her Majesty's Theatre is one of theatres in the West End, which was completed in 1897 and located in Haymarket, Westminster. The architect of the Her Majesty's Theatre is Charles J. Phipps. Her Majesty's Theatre is one of London's best-known theatres, and the theater building is also a Grade II listed building in the UK.

    The Phantom of the Opera

Winner of both the Olivier Award and Tony Award for Best New Musical, The Phantom of the Opera has just celebrated its 30th birthday in the West End! Featuring a lush score from the legendary composer Andrew Lloyd Webber and produced by theatrical juggernaut Cameron Mackintosh, this romantic show is the epitome of the musical theatre genre. Combining spectacular scenery and jaw-dropping special effects with some of the most mesmerising music in theatrical history, The Phantom of the Opera will captivate you with its beauty and majesty. You’ll struggle not to be swept up in this haunting love story and moved by the tragic figure that is the Phantom. Seen by over 140 million people worldwide, The Phantom of the Opera truly is a global phenomenon.

Based on the 1910 novel by Gaston Leroux, The Phantom of the Opera tells the story of the distorted and deformed Phantom. Hiding his face behind a mask, this genius recluse resides far beneath the splendour of the Paris Opera House in an underground lair.

Wreaking havoc on the occupants and managers of the theatre, the Phantom holds sway over the opera house with his demands becoming more extreme under his obsession for his beautiful protégée, Christine Daaé, the new star of the opera. Privately teaching her and writing music for her, the Phantom becomes enraged when a handsome suitor from Christine’s past enters the picture and threatens to steal her away from him. Is his love enough to forgive the unthinkable acts he has committed? Will Christine be able to resist her ‘Angel of music’?
